There are a number of different variables in play when it comes to choosing the diabetes device(s) that works for you - feedback from your healthcare team, recommendations from friends, insurance coverage, online reviews, cost, and a host of other issues. According to our poll, the CWD community leans heavily on their diabetes care team to help them make choices that work best for their family.

There are many ways to whittle down your choices, including the recently-launched resource from the Stanford University School of Medicine Diabetes Wise. (Check it out if you're in the weeds of a decision!) Also check out Medical Devices and Treatment for Type 1 Diabetes for more information on specific pumps, CGMs, and non-insulin therapies for diabetes.

You can't choose or un-choose diabetes, but you can weigh in on what devices you use to manage it. If you have questions about specific devices, visit the manufacturers' websites, or ask our D-Team!
