  2. The T.H.O.R. Foundation is offering scholarships to the Friends for Life 2003 Annual Conference and Expo. The application deadline is December 31, 2002. Apply today, and be sure to include information about what you are doing related to diabetes advocacy, as that is a big part of their selection process.

  6. Dr. Cynthia Schmidt, Assistant Professor of Nursing at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, is conducting an online survey for children with type 1 diabetes. The survey will allow children to provide anonymous information about their type 1 diabetes-related self-care activities and their feelings and concerns about having diabetes. Information gained from this survey will provide nurses and other health care professionals with important knowledge which will improve the care they provide to children and adolescents with diabetes.
