What a perfect day for Rufus to arrive. My name is Ashley and I'm in the 1st grade. I was home sick today and so when Rufus showed up, it really cheered me up. Rufus met my Ruby diabetes bear and we all just hung out and read the journal and watched t.v.

Me and Rufus woke up just a little low this morning - 79, so we had breakfast and mom decided I better stay home from school one more day. Mom took us to work. We played Game Boys in the car. At work, we watched tv and played on the computer some.

I had my endo appointment today. My doctor says everything is looking great. My a1c was 8.1, same as last time. I had to get my flu shot today, too. It really hurt this time. I'm glad it's only once a year. It helped having Rufus with me. He had his flu shot, too, so he's ok for the year now.

Happy Thanksgiving! We went to my aunt's house. It's about half an hour away. My a unt has type 1 diabetes, too. We talk about it sometimes and that helps. She's the best aunt in the world. There was lots of food and family around. I had a big piece of pumpkin pie - it was great! Everybody loved meeting Rufus and hearing about his travels.

We went to see Harry Potter today. Rufus closed his eyes on a couple of parts. It was a really good movie, though. It snowed today, too - lots. We're supposed to get 10 inches. Maybe there will be a snow day tomorrow! We went out and made snow angesl, but not for too long. It was really cold and windy. The weatherman said it felt like 4 degrees today. It gets very cold here in the winter.
Rufus is off to his next adventure. We've had a great time and wish him well. Bye, Rufus!
