Rufus arrives. "Wow, what a surprise!" It was like Christmas. We all ripped apart the box to see what was inside.

Carly made Rufus a D-tron pump and gave him a Canada pin to add to his vest.

We are all off to the Children with Diabetes Convention in California! Rufus is wearing his new D-tron Disetronic Pump. Rufus was allowed behind the pilots seat on the Northwest flight to California!

The convention was great! Rufus met so many wonderful people. It was inspiring for the kids to see Miss America 1999 and Gary Hall, Jr., achieve their goals. Diabetes does not slow you down. They were both great speakaers.
The exhibits were awesome, lots of free stuff for the kids. Workshops were good for both kids and parents. Carly loved seeing the Pump Girls and getting their new CD.
Thank you, Children with Diabetes, for a wonderful convention!

Well, we had a great time with Rufus in California. We went back to Canada and took him for one last adventure - for French Fries under the Bluewater Bridge, something all Sarnia people love to do. Tomorrow, we will pak you up and send you to the Troian Family in Orillia, Ontario.
Carly, Grant, Cathy, Dave, and Cole Goossens
