Hi my name is Hannah and I am 5 years old. I was dx when I was 3, that is when I met Ruffie she really helped me and is a good friend. I started pumping in December 2000 and I feel great! When I found out that Rufus was coming to visit, Ruffie and I were very excited. We couldn't wait for him to arrive.
I told some of my friends who also have diabetes that Rufus was coming to visit and we decided to have a party for him at the park. The local newspaper came and the news station WGAL sent a reporter and camera. We were on TV!
Rufus also went to visit all my adult pumper friends at support group and they were thrilled to meet him!

Sunday was Easter so Rufus went to church with us and enjoyed our family meal. Mom Mom B and Mom Mom and Poppy were all there. He had a little bit too much candy but we corrected his BG with a bolus.

While he was with us Rufus went on an insulin pump. He told me each family can decide on injections or pump therapy so we are sending his pump with him. We sure will miss him! But we know he will have a great time in California!
