Back to Rufus Ruby Visits the Tomlinson Family

The Tomlinson Family, Honolulu, Hawaii

October 2003

Aloha from Hawaii! Ruby arrived at the start of October. We had a lot of fun together! Ruby's first stop was the beach. She learned how to build sand castles in the sand, which I think she liked. Ruby then met my yellow lab named Sunny. At first, she was scared, but warmed up to the dog eventually. I took Ruby a week after she arrived to the Hawaii state capitol for the children and youth day, 2003. I worked in the ADA booth, helping kids learn more about diabetes!

Ruby learned to play the ukulele while was at the beach. In Hawaii, on very special occasions, everyone gets a lei made out of beautiful flowers. We sent Ruby home with a flower lei.

Ruby even got her ears pierced while she was here. Well, I had a great time with Ruby and I hope the next person will have as much fun as I did!

Love and Aloha,
Brittany Tomlinson, 13
