Back to Rufus Ruby Visits the Cece Family

The Cece Family, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida

March 21, 2001
Ruby is here! Emily thought it was cool that the bear had a bracelet just like hers. Everyone thought it was funny that you can give Ruby shots in her butt (Em has never used that site).

Daddy took Ruby to work with him to show to all of his friends. The base photographer offered to take Ruby up in an F-15. We have some very nice photos. Then she went for a ride in a UH-1N "Huey". Daddy said Ruby needed to use the airsickness bag only once, ha ha. Maybe we should let her rest a while.

March 26, 2001
Ruby went to school with Emily (Em was on spring break the week Ruby arrived). She had to stay in Em's backpack until show-n-tell time.

It's time to send Ruby to the next family. I thought her visit would be more D related, but I don't think Em really wants to dwell on her disease. We all had fun - hope you do too!
