New Pricks & Pumps Competition

October, 2004
In support of greater understanding about stem cell research, BROTHER launches its latest Pricks & Pumps competition.

Humans of all ages, political persuasions, cultural backgrounds are invited to Fly Away with BROTHER and create a BUTTERFLY.

'We've chosen the butterfly as the symbol for our Concert for Cures tour because, aside from its beauty, it's a creature which undergoes a complete metamorphosis in its lifetime. The same kind of dramatic changes could occur in the lives of humans all over the world if we allow stem cell research to realize its full potential. It represents hope and freedom,' says Hamish.

Whatever you like to do - paint, draw, doodle, sculpt - create a butterfly. Take a photo of it, briefly describe it, scan it, email it to us. And, if you can, bring it to your nearest Concert for Cures.

Be sure to include the submission form with your entry. The submission form is available at

Winners will receive a bag of swag (CDs, t-shirts, etc.).

Closing date: October 30th

The first entry is a butterfly made up of about 280 syringes
