How satisfied are you with the diabetes care your child receives while at school or daycare?
Poll dates: September 2 - 9, 2014
Total Votes: 49Children with diabetes require medical care to remain healthy. The need for medical care does not end while the child is at school. The quality of care, and attentiveness to that care, varies greatly from school to school. In some schools, children with diabetes find a supportive environment in which in-class testing is encouraged. In other schools, kids with diabetes often struggle to perform even basic self-care.
Over half of people who responded (52%) reported being satisfied or very satisfied with the care their child received at school or daycare, very similar to polls on this topic that we've conducted in the past.
In Diabetes at School, we offer guidelines on all aspects of care at school, such as our School Bill of Rights, all with the goal of helping children with diabetes everywhere have the best possible experience at school.
