Have recent economic problems impacted your ability to pay for diabetes care and supplies? Poll dates: October 5 - 12, 2011 Total Votes: 107 As readers around the world know, the past several years have seen dramatic changes in the global economy, which are impacting families everywhere. Diabetes supplies can be expensive, even with insurance coverage, and we wanted to know if our readers were experiencing difficulty as a result of these economic problems. Based on this poll, 45% of readers report being impacted at least somewhat. About one-fourth (28%) are not impacted but are worried, and about one-fourth (26%) are not impacted. The number of people reporting being impacted has increased from last year's poll on this topic. If you are experiencing difficulty paying for your diabetes care supplies, discuss your situation with your diabetes team. They may be able to offer suggestions to help. [Return to the current poll]
