Amost two-thirds of CWD visitors report obtaining insulin from a local store -- 59% from a local pharmacy, and 6% from a local discount store such as Wal-Mart, essentially the same as in previous years (see table below). Of the remaining visitors, 29% report using a mail order or online pharmacy to obtain their insulin. For those who use mail order:
- 45% (50/111) use mail order to save money
- 18% (20/111) use mail order for convenience
- 37% (41/111) use mail order because their insurance makes them
