What are your plans regarding continuous glucose sensing?

Poll dates: July 9 - 16, 2006
Total Votes: 441

Continuous glucose sensing has the potential to make an enormous difference in diabetes care. Accurate, easy-to-use, and affordable sensing will provide insight into blood sugar levels throughout the day and night and allow people with diabetes -- or parents of children with diabetes -- to make adjustments based on much better data than is available today.

Based on the results of this poll, most CWD readers are either waiting for now (30%) or can't afford the sensors without insurance (32%). Very few -- just 3% -- report using one of the available sensors. Four times that number -- 12% -- say they are waiting for the Abbott Diabetes Care Navigator system. Very few report being uninterested in continuous sensing (just 4%).
