Back to Kid' Voices Haylee

My name is Haylee. I am 8 but I am turning 9 this June. I live in Tasmania, Australia. I have a brother and his name is Franklin. I also have a Dad, Mum, dog, chickens, and a cat. I was diagnosed at the age of 4. It was only about 3 days after my 4th birthday. I stayed in the Burnie hospital for almost a week. I have a Medtronic insulin pump. I got it last year on January the 30th.

I also have a Ruby Bear who is very scruffy and I spend a lot of time with her. Last week I got glasses. A black & pink pair, and a blue pair with orange spots on the sides. When I grow up I want to live with orangutans in the Amazon rainforest. My auntie Sarah has type 1 diabetes too. I have a friend whose brother is diabetic too.

We went to Melbourne for Christmas. If you don’t know where Melbourne is, it’s a VERY big city in Victoria, Australia. My number one favorite food is probably got to be sushi. I LOVE Just Dance. Just Dance is a game were you hold a motion controller and you copy the dancer on the screen. At the end it scores you in stars. I think it’s the best game ever. I have Just dance 2018.

My signs of diabetes were thirst, hunger, tiredness, going to the toilet a lot and weight loss. We went to the doctor and I’m not sure what happened after that but I have seen images of me in hospital.

I’m done now, bye!
