From Liverpool, England:

My baby was born premature and had vitamins and iron drops, but at age 15 months my doctor said he did not need them any longer. At 21 months of age, he was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Would this have anything to do with his getting diabetes?

There is no link between vitamins and iron supplements and the development of type 1 diabetes in young children.
