My mom has type 1. She is 62 and going blind. Can anything be done to her eyes to save them?


I think what can help your mom most is the right ophthalmologist and the best control of both her blood sugars and of her blood pressure. As a matter of fact it has been clearly shown that both factors matter in term of progression towards blindness.
