From Virginia, USA:

Where would be the best place to get tested for diabetes? How long would it take to get the results? How accurate is the testing? What could cause a false result? And most importantly, how much would it cost? I'm not that wealthy and the fear of high test costs has been a big factor in not getting tested.

If you have symptoms of increased thirst and urination, or other concerns about diabetes, see your doctor or go to a nearby health center if you don't have a doctor. A blood glucose level done fasting or after eating will make the diagnosis. If you think you may have diabetes, do not ignore the signs.
