From Indianapolis, Indiana, USA:

I'm female, age 39, Type 1 diabetes for 25 years. I have just recently started using Humalog. Can I mix Humalog and NPH insulin in the same shot?

Yes, if you're mixing lispro insulin [Humalog®] with Lilly's brand of NPH (Humulin N). There's some information that the duration of action of the Humalog will be a bit longer if mixed with the NPH, than when it's used alone.

Maybe, but it's not advised, if you're mixing Humalog with Novo's brand of NPH (Novolin N).
