From Nevada:

In some of your replies, you say that

Does the term "Your Diabetes Team" refer to a portion of your on-line service [if so, where?], or does it mean that (wishfully) such information may be obtained from one's own physician (s) ?

The American Diabetes Association's standards state that children with diabetes should be cared for by an expert team of specialists who are specifically trained to manage childhood diabetes.

No, there's nothing else on-line at children with DIABETES. We've made the presumption that your child's general physician or pediatrician works in concert with a diabetes nurse educator and diabetes dietitian, and other resource people. This might be on a regular basis, as part of an organized, well-defined team, or on an intermittent basis, such as referral to a hospital-based diabetes program or a diabetes specialist's office, where the doctor has developed a team to help with diabetes care.

You or your physician can contact ADA (1-800-ADA-DISC) for a list of programs that are Recognized as meeting the educational standards, and/or AADE (1-800-TEAMUP4) for a list of nearby diabetes educators. In other countries, contact your local diabetes organization.
